After Hours Emergencies

Dr. Lasser or another doctor are always available for after hour emergency calls which cannot wait until office hours the next day. Some parents decide that they need immediate care and head (without calling first) to urgent care centers. Keep in mind that NOT ALL URGENT CARE CENTERS ARE EQUIPPED TO HANDLE CHILDREN.  As of this time, the only pediatric urgent care center in our area is "KinderMender" which can be found behind the Target Store on Dobbin Road; http://www.kindermender.com/; 443-492-4000. KinderMender can handle most minor pediatric after hours visits. Dr. Lasser advises parents that if there is any question of the severity of an illness, all children who need Emergency Care be directed to the Pediatric Emergency Room at Howard County General Hospital.  You will see a pediatrician who can handle the broad spectrum of pediatric emergencies.
